A man in his 30s has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Bromley.

The incident happened in West Street just before 12.40am today.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

An ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a clinical team manager also attended.

The man was taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.

His condition has been assessed as life-changing.

Another man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has been taken into custody.

A crime scene has been put in place following the incident. 

Police enquiries are ongoing. 

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called to West Street, Bromley at 00.46hrs on Sunday, 9 October by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to reports of a stabbing.

"Officers attended.

"A man in his 30s was found with stab wounds.

"He was taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as life-changing.

"A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been taken into custody.

"A crime scene has been put in place. Enquiries continue."

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:

“We were called at 12.42am today (October 9) to reports of a stabbing in West Street, Bromley.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and we also dispatched medics from London’s Air Ambulance by road.

“We treated a man for stab wounds and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre.”
