Five fire engines were called to put out a fire at a derelict pub in Dartford this morning.

Firefighters were called to a fire at a abandoned pub in Lowfield Street just before 7am today (October 8).

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the pub fire using hose reel jets.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is being treated as suspicious.

The fire was under control by 8.42am.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Lowfield Street in Dartford, to reports of a fire within a derelict former pub building.

“Five fire engines and a height vehicle attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames using hose reel jets.

“There were no reported injuries, and the cause is being treated as suspicious.”
