Police have made an arrest after a man filmed up a woman’s skirt while on board a train to Bromley South.
The incident happened yesterday while the victim was commuting to work.
A report was made during the journey and police arrested a man as he got off at Bromley South station.
He was taken into custody for questioning.
“Upskirting” is a form of sexual harassment and since April 2019 has been listed as a criminal offence.
British Transport Police tweeted: “Yesterday we received a report of a man filming up a woman’s skirt on her commute to work.
“He remained on the train to #BromleySouth and officers were quickly deployed to meet him there.
“On arrival, he was arrested and taken to police custody for questioning.
“Upskirting will not be tolerated on the network and we’re dedicated to taking quick action against offenders.
“If you experience or witness a sexual offence on the railway, report it to us by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40.
“We will always take you seriously.”
