Police have warned the public not to approach a man who has escaped from prison.

Nicholas Doyley, 47, escaped from HMP Springhill on Saturday, October 1.

He is 5 foot 10 inches and of a medium build.

Doyley is described to have brown eyes and a scar on the left side of his head.

He is believed to have links to Southwark and Lewisham.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kate Bottomley, based at Aylesbury police station, advises the public to “not approach” Doyley but call 999 immediately.

She added: “If you have any information regarding where he may be, you can call 101 or report online via the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference 43220441148.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

Lewisham MPS said: “Can you help our colleagues @ThamesVP find Nicolas Doyley who has absconded from prison?

“He has links to #Southwark and #Lewisham.”

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Thames Valley is appealing for help to trace a man who absconded from HMP Springhill yesterday (1/10).

“Nicholas Doyley is aged 47, 5ft 10 inches tall and of medium build. He has brown eyes and a scar on the left side of his head.

“He is believed to frequent London.”
