Police have issued a statement after a crash between a cyclist and a van in Beckenham.  

The incident happened in Beckenham Hill Road just before 4pm on September 23.  

London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.  

The cyclist, who was a woman, was taken to hospital with a leg injury.  

Her condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.  

The driver of the van did not stop at the scene.  

Police enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.  

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 3.58pm on Friday, 23 September to reports of a collision involving a van and a cyclist in Beckenham Hill Road, SE6. 

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.  

“The cyclist, a woman was taken to hospital with a leg injury.  

“Her condition was assessed as not life-threatening.  

“The driver of the van did not stop at the scene.  

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace them.”
