A teenager has been taken to hospital after being attacked in Hartley.

Police were called to a field near Church Road to a “disturbance” between a group of people.

The incident happened on September 30 at around 9.20pm.

A 16-year-old boy was attacked and taken to hospital for treatment.

He currently remains in hospital.

The suspect has been described by police as being a white male around five foot eight inches tall.

No arrests have been made at this stage but enquiries are ongoing.

Police are asking any witnesses or any further information about the incident to come forward and contact them quoting reference number 46/190289/22.

A spokesperson for Kent police said: “Detectives investigating an assault on a teenage boy in Longfield are appealing for witnesses.

“Kent Police was called to a field off Church Road in Hartley at about 9.20pm on Friday 30 September 2022 following reports of a disturbance between a group of people.

“One person, a 16-year-old boy was assaulted and needed medical treatment.

“He was taken to a local hospital to be treated where he remains.

“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

“The suspect is described as being a white male, about 5ft 8inches tall.
