A man from Erith has been charged with burglary after people in Dartford believed he was trying to break into their homes.
Maxwell Linnett, 21, of Rayleigh Close in Erith was charged with burglary and four counts of fraud.
Police were called to Coopers Close on Tuesday (September 6) after people in the area said that a man was acting suspiciously.
Several people who called police claimed that he was trying to enter their homes during the early hours.
Officers searched the area and found the man nearby.

Police arrested the suspect at around 1.15am on suspicion of burglary.
Linnette appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday (September 7) and was released on bail.
He will attend Maidstone Crown Court on October 5.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “A quick response by police officers in Dartford has resulted in a man being charged with burglary.
“Kent Police was called in the early hours of Tuesday 6 September 2022 after a man was seen acting suspiciously in Coopers Close.
“Several of the callers believed the man was attempting to gain entry to their properties.
“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area and a man was found nearby and was subsequently arrested at around 1.15am on suspicion of burglary.
“Maxwell Linnett, 21, of Rayleigh Close, Erith, South-East London, has been charged with burglary and four counts of fraud.
“He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 7 September 2022 and was bailed to attend Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 5 October.”
