A motorcyclist has died after a crash with an ambulance that was on its way to an emergency in Purley.
Police were called to the crash at the junction of Purley Way and Edghill Road on Tuesday at around 6pm.
Paramedics from the ambulance stopped after the crash and provided first aid to the motorcyclist.
The fire brigade and air ambulance were also called.
The rider, a man who police believe to be in his 50s, died at the scene.
His family have been informed.
There have been no arrests, but an investigation is ongoing.

A London Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 6.01pm today (30 August) to reports of a road traffic collision in Purley, Croydon.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including two ambulance crews, a medic in a fast response car, two incident response officers and a clinical team leader.
“We treated one patient at the scene but sadly, despite the best efforts of our medics, they were pronounced dead at the scene.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Croydon.
“Police were called shortly after 18:00hrs on Tuesday, 30 August to a collision involving an ambulance and a motorcycle at the junction of Purley Way and Edgehill Road.
“The ambulance was en route to an emergency call at the time of the collision; its crew provided first aid.
“Officers responded with the London Fire Brigade and London's Air Ambulance.
“Despite their efforts, the rider - a man, believed to be aged in his 50s – sadly died at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
“There have been no arrests.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
“Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 6351/30Aug.”
