A fire in Bromley has damaged half of the first floor of a semi-detached house in Biggin Hill.

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the house fire on Melody Road yesterday (August 30).

The fire brigade was first called at 10.12pm and was brought under control by fire crews from Bigging Hill and Addington stations at 11.10pm.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is now being investigated.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Melody Road in Biggin Hill.

“Half of the first floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade was called at 2212 and the fire was under control by 2310.

“Fire crews from Biggin Hill and Addington fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
