Four people, including a police officer, have been injured after a suspect vehicle crashed in Sidcup while involved in a police pursuit.

Kent Police officers were in pursuit of a vehicle which was then involved in a crash with two other vehicles in Frognal Corner at around 2.40pm on Tuesday.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene.

Met Police officers attended to help assist with the location and arrest of three males.

The three suspects remain in custody in connection with alleged fraud offences against an elderly woman in West Malling.

They are all from London - two aged 22 and the third aged 23.

Four people, including a police officer, were treated for injuries at the scene and taken to hospital.

Three ambulance crews and a clinical team leader were sent to the scene by the London Ambulance Service.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "The three suspects arrested remain in custody in connection with alleged fraud offences against an elderly woman in West Malling.  

"They are all male and from London.

"Two are aged 22 and the third aged 23."

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At around 14:40hrs officers from Kent Police were in pursuit of a vehicle that entered MPS ground.

"The suspect vehicle was involved in a collision with two other vehicles in Frognal Corner, Sidcup.

"It did not stop at the scene.

"MPS units responded to assist with the location and arrest of three males.

"A small number of people and one officer suffered minor injuries."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.52pm today (30 August) to reports of a road traffic collision on Frognal Corner, Sidcup.

“We sent three ambulance crews and a clinical team leader to the scene.

“We treated four patients for injuries at the scene and took them to hospital.”
