Dramatic pictures of firefighters tackling a blaze in Eltham show the “challenging, low-visibility conditions crews often face.”

The fire destroyed two garden sheds and part of a detached garage on Longcroft Road in Eltham.

Fire crews were first called to the blaze at 7.17pm on August 14.

Two fire engines from Eltham and Sidcup stations attended and brought the fire under control by 7.54pm.

There were no reports of any injuries, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade: “These photos show the challenging, low-visibility conditions our crews often face when tackling fires.

“This blaze destroyed two garden sheds in #Eltham, but thankfully no one was hurt “Firefighters were called to sheds alight on Longcroft Road in Eltham.

“Two detached garden sheds were destroyed by fire.

“Part of a detached garage was also damaged by the blaze.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade was called at 1917 and the fire was under control by 1954.

“Two fire engines from Eltham and Sidcup fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
