A national charity is looking for volunteers to walk dogs in Orpington.

The Cinnamon Trust in Orpington is looking for dog walking volunteers to support a resident and their dog who is in need of extra strolls across the borough.

The Cinnamon Trust is the national charity whose volunteers help people over the retirement age and those in the later stages of a terminal illness by offering all kinds of free pet care.

Regular duties of the volunteers at The Cinnamon Trust include walking dogs for housebound owners, fostering pets when owners need hospital or hospice care and cleaning out bird cages or litter trays.

A spokesperson for The Cinnamon Trust says: “We are looking for dog walking volunteers to support a resident of Orpington and their dog who would love some extra walks. “Many elderly or ill pet owners worry about their ability to provide proper care for their animals and start looking to rehome what may be their only companion.

“This is where our national network of dedicated volunteers step in to offer support enabling them to stay together.”
