Firefighters have tackled a grassland fire in Dartford Heath.

The fire broke out at 3.55pm yesterday (August 5).

Four fire engines tackled the blaze.

Around 400 square metres of grassland were alight.

No injuries were reported following the incident.  

The blaze was under control just before 6pm.

The brigade used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were sent to the scene of a fire on Dartford Heath.

“Four fire engines were sent to the incident, and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish a fire that had spread to around 400 square metres of grassland.

“No casualties were reported.”
