Three men have been charged after former boxing world champion Amir Khan was robbed at gunpoint.
The 35-year-old was with his wife Faryal in High Road, Leyton, in April when he was approached by two males who threatened him with a gun before stealing his £70,000 watch.
Three men were subsequently arrested on Wednesday (June 22).
Now Ahmed Bana, 25, of Hale Gardens in Tottenham, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
Nurul Amin, 24, of Cavendish Road in Harringay, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
Dante Campbell, 20, of Denmark Road in Hornsey, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of an imitation firearm, possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of ammunition for a firearm without certificate.
All three appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court today (June 23).
Hours after the robbery, he told fans on Instagram: “Last night was a bit mad. I’m glad everyone is safe.
“It feels a bit weird not wearing a watch, but it is what it is."
