A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Dartford.

Ambulance services were called to Central Road at around 7.30pm yesterday to treat motorcyclist for “potentially serious injuries”.

London Air Ambulance also dispatched their advanced trauma team via a helicopter to attend to the rider.

They were then taken to hospital by road.

Police have reported that incident only involved one vehicle.

Officers closed the road while ambulance crews treated the motorcyclist and reopened the road at around 9.30pm.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance service said: “I can confirm that SECAmb was called shortly before 7.25pm yesterday (20 June) to reports of an RTC on Central Road, Dartford.

“Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the London Air Ambulance Service.

“One person was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in London with potentially serious injuries.”

A spokesperson for London Air Ambulance Service said: “Our advanced trauma team was dispatched via aircraft by London Ambulance Service at 2009 last night to reports of a road traffic collision in the Dartford area.

“After treatment on scene the patient was transferred by road to a major trauma hospital accompanied by London’s Air Ambulance.”

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called to a single-vehicle collision in Central Road, Dartford, at around 7.30pm on Monday 20 June 2022.

“Officers attended to assist the South East Coast Ambulance Service with a road closure and an injured motorcyclist was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

“The road was reopened at around 9.30pm.”
