Families and children with special needs will have a better place to come together after a playground received £40,000 from The National Lottery.
The money will help the Epping Playground Association make Lower Swaines recreation ground an inclusive space for families and cater for children with special educational needs, physical or sensory challenges.
It is hoped the project will be completed in September, and the charity is planning an October event to officially open the new playground.

Trustee Habibah Wise said: "We’re delighted to have won this grant since it really shows how important play and outdoor equipment is to families and children, especially following two years of the pandemic where children were not able to socialise."
Town clerk Beverley Rumsey said: "The town council would like to congratulate Epping Playground Association on its National Lottery grant success."
