Pupils at a Harrow school had the chance to discuss India’s relationship with the UK and the effect of the war in Ukraine with representatives from its High Commission.

The commission’s First Secretary Shitanshu Chaurasiya took questions from students at John Lyon School, Harrow-on-the-Hill, during a visit last Wednesday.

Mr Chaurasiya explained his work in the commission before students asked questions on topics from Indian history to its relationship with the UK and how the war in Ukraine has affected India.

Author and cultural director of the embassy Amish Tripathi also delivered a talk called Understanding India: Among the oldest living Civilisations.

The second part of the day included a yoga event which allowed students to get involved and experience how the practice can boost mental and physical health.
