A man from Lewisham has paid the price for his crime after being ordered to pay nearly £400 in court over a dodged £4.10 train ticket.
Jason King was caught at Crofton Park station on January 18 having got on a train to travel without a valid ticket.
The 50-year-old was ordered to pay £393.10 for the offence during a hearing at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on May 30, 2022.
This includes £4.10 compensation for the ticket, a £220 fine and costs of £135.
King, of Pomeroy Street in SE14, must pay the balance by June 27, 2022.
