Police have launched an investigation after a series of deadly attacks against wildlife at Southmere Lake.

Swans, geese and fish have been killed and injured.

Officers are looking to identify the culprits.

It is suspected that catapults have been used in the attacks.

Call 101 quoting reference number 3905424/22 with any information.

Thamesmead Moorings police tweeted: "A series of attacks against wildlife have occurred at Southmere Lake SE2. Swans, geese & fish have been killed/injured.

"Police have launched an investigation to identify the culprits.

"The use of catapults is suspected.

"Call 101 quoting 3905424/22 to provide info #metwildlifecrimeunit."
