The Hounslow Citizens meeting convened on Thursday the 21st of April where councillors McGregor and Bruce, representing their own respective parties, listened to requests put forward by the community and proclaimed the extent to which they would be able to fulfill it if they were elected.

Notable organisations in attendance included St Mary's church osterley, Panyim city church, Spring west academy, Reach academy feltham and sparrow farm junior school. Issues such as minimum wage and provision of welfare arose- with both candidates stating their promises. However, the biggest topic on everybody's mind was the building of a youth centre, which was highly sought after in the meeting. The conservative candidate vehemently pledged to complete this if he was elected whilst the labour candidate agreed to try and make it happen, however, did not fully commit to the idea.

One young person in attendance, a Snigdha Bahari, was available for comment: 'I think overall the meeting was a great success. I feel a real sense of community and am much more confident that I can make a fully informed decision when voting for my candidate of choice.' When asked if they were confident that Feltham would be getting a youth centre in the future miss Bahari replied with a jubilant 'Yes'.
