Lila Moss, daughter of the infamous fashion icon Kate Moss, recently starred on the cover of this month’s British Vogue, making this her first appearance on the cover of this globally-adored fashion magazine.

Lila’s feature on the front of Vogue was accompanied by an article, written about a poignant interview Lila had where she reminisced her childhood, discussed her friends and family, and lastly her fashion and modelling career.

It’s not just Lila’s recent feature on the cover of British Vogue that nods towards a prosperous career as a supermodel, but more so her appearance on the Fendi x Versace runway in Milan fashion week, back in September 2021. What made Lila profoundly stand out in this particular runway was her type 1 diabetes insulin pump, clearly visible on her leg whilst she walked down the runway. Despite Lila not commenting on the pump on her leg herself, hundreds of people flooded her comments on Instagram to applaud her for wearing it visibly and praising her for “leading a good example”. It’s no doubt that many models in the fashion industry go to great lengths to disguise something like an insulin pump, thus making Lila’s normalisation of the pump all the more applaudable as she proves herself to be a brilliant role model for children and teens also suffering from the same condition.

I believe Lila’s success so far, especially her feature on the cover of Vogue, only gives an infinitesimal glimpse into what’s next for her, as the fashion world is proven to be at her feet.
