I first started Warhammer 2 years ago now. There are lots of different type of warhammer characters, from Orks, to futeristic nekron warriors, and Tau warriors, to human imperial guards. I chose to build an Ork warhammer army. My first kit cost £10 pounds and was fairly wasy to build all the models, but was slightly challenging to paint them in great detail, as the soldiers were very small. But the price, and the easiness of constructing the figures, means that pretty much anyone can start doing warhammer.

If you do begin to enjoy warhammer a quick warning, that you won't get another kit for under about £20. This is fairly expensive, but the quality of the platic models are incredible, and some of the best on the market.

In Nottingham, there is also Warhammer World. There are tables with scenary on them to play Warhamme games on, an incradible museum full of old and new warhmmer and scenarios, including a massive one the size of a two up two down house! And there is also a shop and a Forge World shop (Forge World is a spin off from warhammer, and the models are printed in a higher quality, but more expensive resin plastic). And finally, there is a great resteraunt that does amazing burgers!

Warhammer is not just building and painting models, it is also a fun and enjoyable game. You put your painted models into battle with your opponents models and have an epic battle. The rules however can be quite difficult to understand and interpret at first, but can be eaily learnt with help from a youtube guide, or a friend. Warhammer has a great community, and you are bound to find someone who can help you in your local area, and to help you learn painting and building techniques.

To conlude Warhammer is a fun building, painting, and table top game for all aged from around 6 and upwards. I have enjoyed every second of it, and have made some great friends, found some great youtube channels to watch, (I highly recommend Squidmar Minitures), and I have visited some great places, and I know that you can do the same to!
