A man has died following a stabbing at Beckenham Junction station.

Police were called to a serious assault in the car park of the station just before 5.20am on April 2.

Two men, aged 22 and 24, who had been stabbed were taken to hospital.

Tyreece Daley, 22, from Tulse Hill, died in hospital earlier this week - on April 25.

Dejon Anaughe, 27, of Dunoon Road in Forest Hill, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 12 charged in connection to the incident.

He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Inner London Crown Court on May 10.

Tyreece's family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers, and have chosen to release a photo of him.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Langley said: “First and foremost my thoughts are with Tyreece’s loved ones who are being supported by our specially trained family liaison officers.

“This has now progressed into a murder investigation however we are not seeking to identify anyone further in connection with the incident.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed or filmed the incident at the time to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"Your information could be crucial to our investigation.

“Any witnesses, or anyone with useful information, can text BTP on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 96 of 02/04/22.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Detectives at British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a murder investigation, after a man who was stabbed at Beckenham Junction station sadly passed away.

"Shortly before 5.20am on 2 April, officers were called to Beckenham Junction station following a report of a serious assault in the car park.

"Officers attended alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service and two men, aged 22 and 24, were taken to hospital with stab injuries.

"Very sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, Tyreece Daley, 22, from Tulse Hill, passed away in hospital earlier this week (25 April).

"His family are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers, and have chosen to release this photo of him.

"Dejon Anaughe, 27, and of Dunoon Road, Forest Hill, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 12 April charged in connection to the incident.

"He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Inner London Crown Court on 10 May."
