A man has been rushed to hospital after being injured on the tracks at Colliers Wood tube station - as the Northern line is experiencing severe delays.

Police were called to the Underground station just after 2.20pm today.

Ambulance crews also attended and a man was rushed to hospital.

This is for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or changing.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

According to TfL, there are severe delays on the Northern line "due to an earlier customer incident".

London Buses and Thameslink are accepting tickets.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "British Transport Police were called to Colliers Wood Underground station at 2.21pm today (26 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended and a person has been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.20pm today (26 April) to reports of an incident at Colliers Wood underground station.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, two medics in fast response cars, an incident response officer, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated one man on the scene, and transported him to a major trauma centre, by road, as a priority.”

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called at 1420 yesterday to a person under a train at Colliers Wood Station.

"They were released and treated by London Ambulance Service crews.

"The incident was over by fire crews by 1530."
