The Dartford River Crossing has now reopened after police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman earlier today.
Police were called shortly after 10am this morning (April 16).
Officers arrived at the scene of an incident on the Dartford River crossing.
The crossing was closed whilst the incident was being handled.
Police say the incident has been safely dealt with.
Dartford River Crossing has since re-opened.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “We are currently on the scene of an incident on the #Dartford River Crossing.
“We were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman shortly after 10am this morning.
“The crossing has been closed whist the incident is being dealt with.
“@HighwaysSEAST to divert traffic ASAP.
“The incident has been safely dealt with and the road has been re-opened.
“Thank you for your patience.”
