The film 'Don't Look Up' was heavily criticized by viewers because of the acting and plot but scientists praised it since they saw it as remindful of what our world will look like.

Protests have been happening across the Uk stating how the Earth is in critical conditions. We are being told we should act now before it's too late and how the earth's 'vital signs' are shocking. This is to gain attention from the government and warn the earth's people before it gets any worse.

The 'Just Stop Oil' protesters are going to the extent where they are blocking oil facilities, hunger strikes, locking themselves to pipes of fueling stations, and tying themselves to a goal post during a football match just to be heard. Some of you may think this is not the right way to convey an important message but scientists have been warning us for decades and were never listened to. Their needs which are also our needs are very simple, they don't want the government to make any new developments in fossil fuel supply projects. Fossil fuels are one of the biggest contributors to climate change as it is now articulated into our daily lives e.g to run cars, and for oil/gas to result in electricity.

Many scientists have been showing the government more sustainable, secure, and affordable ways for energy to be made instead of using fossil fuels for many years. Some of these scientists may not even be alive when affected by this but they know that it is our future at risk. We and our loved ones will be harmed for decades if some sort of action is not taken by the government.

Our government is making things worse and increasing the risks for all. They have no intention of stopping the use of fossil fuels any time soon and that shouldn't be the case so the scientists don't intend on stopping either.

Many of the scientists are being arrested and carried away by the police during these protests to be silenced. This issue is not only affecting the Uk but many other countries around the world.
