Loughton is so blessed to have Loughton Voluntary Care who are celebrating their jubilee 50th anniversary this coming May.
What a record of achievement.
50 years of service, commitment and support to and for the residents of Loughton.
Earlier this week I was invited to and was able to attend their Annual General Meeting which was held via zoom.
It was great to hear about how they had been able to support the Loughton community throughout the Covid lockdowns and how quickly they had restarted their normal activities including escorted shopping, their transport scheme, social activities, and the silver surfers club.
Loughton has a lot to thank the past and present committee members and all their volunteers for.
Thank you for your contribution to the community life of our town and your dedication in helping our more elderly and isolated residents.
Loughton Councillor Stephen Murray
