Two people have been taken to hospital and two people have been arrested after a stabbing in Brixton.

Police, ambulance crews and London's Air Ambulance were called to the scene in Electric Avenue at around 12.30pm on Saturday.

A man was found with a stab wound and was taken to hospital where his condition - which was initially critical - is not believed to be life-threatening.

A second man was found with a head injury and also taken to hospital.

He was arrested in connection with the incident.

A third man was arrested on GBH suspicions at the scene and taken into custody in a south London police station.

Police enquiries are ongoing.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 12:30hrs on Saturday, 2 April to reports of a stabbing in Electric Avenue, Brixton.

"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

"A man was found with a stab injury and taken to hospital where his condition, initially critical, is not believed to be life-threatening.

"A second man was found with a head injury and taken to hospital.

"He was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.

"A third man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm at the scene and taken into custody at a south London police station.
