A man and a woman were attacked by robbers using a stun gun and metal poles in Dartford

The pair were sitting in a car when they were approached by a man and a woman in Farnol Road on March 18.

The man used a weapon on a male victim’s leg through an open car window in an attempt to steal a mobile phone.

They both then ran from the scene after being pursued by one of the victims, according to police.

A female victim in her 20s who remained in the car was then allegedly attacked by three further men, who reportedly struck the car with metal poles.

They reportedly pursued the female victim on foot as she drove off and attacked her car on Keyes Road.

The three men were described to be wearing dark clothing and balaclavas by police.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, is described by police as being white, 5ft 11 tall, of medium build, and with untidy mousey-blond hair.

Officers say he was also wearing an all-black tracksuit.

The woman who was standing with the suspect is also described by police as white, in her 30s, around 5ft5 tall, and of slim build.

She had light brown hair which was tied up in a bun, according to police.

She was reportedly wearing a grey and pink tracksuit with a grey beanie hat.

Two teenage boys were arrested following the incident and later released pending further investigation.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Martin Stevens said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man and a woman who did not know their assailants and it is fortunate that neither was seriously harmed.

“We are urging anyone who witnessed the incidents, that has not yet spoken to the police, to contact our appeal line.

“We are also asking drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV or doorbell cameras to check for footage that may assist our investigation.”
