Police have warned the public not to approach a man who has escaped from a mental heath facility in Lewisham.

Lewis Ramos escaped from the facility at around 5.30am today (March 20).

The 26-year-old was receiving treatment after being sectioned under the Mental Health Act on Saturday, March 19.

He is described by police as being approximately 6ft tall of stocky build with bushy black hair.

Ramos was last seen wearing a green tracksuit with a hood and black trainers.

He also has links to Staffordshire.

Members of the public are advised by police not to approach him but to call 999 immediately.

A statement from Met Police said: “Police are appealing for the public’s assistance to trace a man who has absconded from a mental health facility in Lewisham.

“Lewis Ramos, 26, had been receiving treatment after being sectioned under the Mental Health Act on Saturday, 19 March.

“He absconded from the facility at around 05:30hrs on Sunday, 20 March.

“Ramos has links to Staffordshire.

“He is approximately 6ft tall, of stock build with bushy black hair and was last seen wearing a green tracksuit with a hood and black trainers.

“Members of the public are advised by police not to approach Ramos – if he is seen please call 999 immediately.
