Broadway Shopping Centre in Bexleyheath has been evacuated after a reported bomb scare.

Police were called to the scene in Albion Road around 10.35am and as of 1.30pm, the shopping centre is still closed and a cordon is still in place.

Reports are of a "bomb threat", according to police.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 10:37hrs on Tuesday, 15 March, to reports of a bomb threat at a shopping centre on Albion Road, Bexley.

"The area has been evacuated as a precaution.

"Officers are currently in attendance and the incident is ongoing.

"This incident is not being treated as terror related."
