A man has been taken to hospital after a crash in Orpington this morning.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene in Crofton Road at around 9.30am today.

The crash involved two cars - and both drivers were treated for minor injuries according to police.

One man was treated for neck and back pain and taken to hospital by ambulance crews.

Officers are still at the scene and a road closure is still in place - as of around 12pm.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.34am today (7 March) to reports of a road traffic collision in Crofton Road, Orpington.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

“The crew treated a patient for neck and back pain and took him to hospital.”

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 09:30hrs on Monday, 7 March to reports of a collision involving two cars in Crofton Road, Orpington.

"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade. Both drivers were treated for minor injuries.

"Officers remain at the scene and road closures are in place."

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision between two cars on Crofton Road in Orpington.

"No one was trapped. A man was treated by London Ambulance Service crews.

"The Brigade was called at 0935 and the incident was over for crews at 1025."
