A man has been charged with 27 offences after a series of thefts and burglaries in Gravesend.

Liam Wells, 28, is alleged to have committed the crimes, with all but one happening on Sunday, February 21.

Liam has been charged with 10 attempted burglaries and 10 counts of vehicle interference.

Among the charges are two counts of burglary, with the victims reporting two cars and a bank card had been taken.

Police say the bank card is linked to a fraudulent transaction.

The 28-year-old allegedly stole from three parked cars, with a handbag, sunglasses and high value cosmetics taken from these vehicles.

An additional theft from motor vehicle charge was authorised for an offence which took place on February 17, with a selection of tools stolen.

Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad secured a warrant and arrested the suspect at his address on Tuesday, March 1.

Officers say Liam was remanded in custody to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday March 3.

At the hearing, he was further remanded in custody and will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, March 31.
