The Rotary Club of Roding is based at The Queen Victoria Public House, Theydon Bois and meets at 6.30pm on Monday evenings, apart from the first Thursday of the month when we Zoom.

If you feel you would like to get involved in Rotary you are welcome to come along any time and see what the club does.

Rotary is very active within the community and through its various fund raising activities the club has been able to make donations to a number of charities in the last few months.

These are The Parkinsons’s Disease Society, Richard House Children’s Hospice with generous support from our district support team, Mary’s Meals - a charity which provides meals for under privileged children worldwide and encourages them to go to school - the Philippines Disaster Fund and The Chigwell Riding Trust which is based at Grange Farm. This charity enables children with quite severe disabilities to enjoy horse riding.

Club president Janice Spindlow was delighted to be able to present a cheque to manager Deborah Hall.

Its Memory Cafe continues to be very active and popular with people suffering from memory impairment. Come along if you are affected by this or know of anyone who would benefit from a very friendly get together with music, bingo, quizzing and enjoy refreshments with home made cakes.

The cafe meets on the first Friday of the month from 10am to 12pm at The Loughton Club, 8 Station Road, Loughton, IG10 4NX.

If you would like more information on this or any of the club’s activities contact secretary Ros on 020 8504 9219.
