A dog-friendly cinema will be opening in Beckenham Place Park this summer.

Sunset Screening Sessions will return to the park for another summer run and this year visitors are invited to bring along their furry companions on select nights.

An outdoor screen that’s nine metres in length and seven in height will pop up inside the patio of the park's Homestead Cafe.

With a line-up as diverse as they come, movie buffs can expect a film programme that spans comedy, horror, romance and arthouse cinema.

Guests will also be able to bring their pooches to the Wooftop Film Club in Peckham, which opens this spring.

Located in the Bussey Building, Wooftop is a silent cinema and ticket holders can bring their dogs to any screening they like.

Tasty snacks, drinks and pizza can be ordered on your mobile phone and will be delivered straight to your seat.

Guests can also pick up all sorts of treats, booze and non-alcoholic drinks from the Bussey Rooftop Bar.

Further afield is the Drive In Film Club at Alexandra Palace which opens on May 17.

Billed as being “the ultimate big screen movie night out”, you can bring your furry friend along to catch some of the biggest new releases and feel-good films.

Popcorn made especially for dogs can also be purchased.

If it’s a cinematic experience like no other that you and your pooch are after, look no further than the Openair Float-in Cinema at Paddington’s Merchant Square.

The open-air cinema has joined forces with GoBoat - London’s self-drive boat experience - to create a dog-friendly floating cinema on the Regent’s Canal.

Guests can hire eight-person electric boats to sail around Little Venice in Paddington with their four-legged friends on board before mooring up and catching a flick!

Nation-wide cinema chain Picturehouse also has some dog-friendly screenings lined up.

Approximately once a month the cinema throws its food open to well-behaved dogs and upcoming screenings are listed on Picturehouse’s website.
