New lifts are being installed at Catford train station and will provide step-free access to the platforms.
Work will be completed by the end of October and building was given the go-ahead following feedback from local residents.
The construction is part of the Catford Framework Plan, a Lewisham borough initiative that hopes to drive position regeneration in the area.
