A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a fight in Forest Hill.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fight in Stanstead Road yesterday afternoon at around 3.15pm.

A man, who is believed to be 18-years-old, was found with stab injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and police are now awaiting an update on his condition.

A man, with no further details, was arrested near the scene on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

He remains in police custody.

A crime scene remains in place as enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 3.15pm on Monday, February 21, to reports of a fight in Stanstead Road, SE23.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, believed aged 18, suffering stab injuries.

“He has been taken to hospital for treatment – condition awaits.

“A male – no further details – was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply class B drugs. He remains in custody.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
