The top five quietest train stations in south east London have been revealed.

The figures, based on ticket sales, show the least used stations in the region between 2020 and 2021 by Office of Rail and Road in an annual statistical release.

West Wickham was named the quietest station in south east London with only 158,216 passengers.

Albany Park station ranks second with just 213,044 passengers using the line.

Bexley railway follows in at third with only 303,106 people entering and exiting the station.

Erith station ranks fourth with just 307,106 passengers recorded using the line.

Following in at fifth with only 322,654 passengers is Catford station.

The figures also revealed that the number of passenger journeys across Britain was down by 78 per cent, compared to 2019, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Here are the top least used train stations in south east London:

1. West Wickham: 158,216

2. Albany Park: 213,044

3. Bexley: 303,106

4. Erith: 307,730

5. Catford: 322,654

Six stations in Britain had no recorded passengers between 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

They were Abererch in Gwynedd, Wales, Beasdale in Highland, Scotland, Llanbedr in Gwynedd, Wales, Sampford Courtenay in West Devon, Stanlow and Thornton in Cheshire West and Chester, and Sugar Loaf in Powys, Wales.

London Bridge was named the busiest train station in south east London with more than 13.7 million passengers.

Stratford was recorded as Britain’s busiest with more than 14 million passengers travelling through the line.
