A Chigwell community centre has now reopened.
Victory Hall was closed for a lengthy period for “public safety reasons” while remedial works were carried out across the whole building.
Now members of the Chigwell Row and Dramatic Society (CROADS), who has been preparing a musical comedy rendition of The Addams Family, attended the reopening event last Thursday (February 10).
The CROADS director, Ros Bacon, said: “It's been nearly two years since this show was cancelled pre-pandemic and it is with great pleasure that we have resurrected our production and will present it to the community from March 30 and April 2 at 7.45pm each night.”
Councillor Lisa Morgan Skingsley for Chigwell Parish Council said: "It is with great delight that this council can re-open Victory Hall for the local community to use.
“We look forward to being able to attend the CROADS production and the activities hosted by other at our Hall.”
