This is a landscape photo taken by me and inspired by an artist called Elena Dijour. It represents the issues going on around the world aside from the pandemic itself.
I have used similar techniques used by Dijour such as double exposure and overlapping the original version on top of the edited black and white image to give a distinctive view.
The petals are dark, dusty and withered showing how the flower is dying and slowly losing its strength to live. This may represent the many dying people around the world.
Countless amount of people don’t have the time to worry about Covid due to the fact that they have other severe problems going on around them.
Therefore the colourful part of this image represents the wealthy who can live life to their fullest and note that are only a few colourful petals whilst the rest is black and white, displaying that the majority of the world lives in poverty and hunger.
Do you think that there should be more awareness raised on those who live in such poor conditions?
