IT WASN'T VALENTINE'S DAY YET! but it was for The Gateway Academy on the last day of school before the actual romantic celebration.

Every year the school puts on an event for students and their valentines or crushes. This involves paying £1.50 for a rose that can be given anonymously to another or made known about who you are which both are bold moves. Teachers get involved as well by spreading their positivity and enthusiasm around the school. The involvement of these roses every year gets more sufficient as the school does it and will be missed when leaving the school. It helps students step out of their comfort zone but gives opportunities to the ones who call attention to celebrating their friendship and admiration for one another.

During the day, the school's student leadership (of all years) prepares the roses beforehand and gives them out during the first or last period to pupils, with the names of the pupils wrapped on the rose. The student leadership team worked hard all day to put together this event and make the roses look as cute as they could.

Even if you seem to be lonely for this Valentine's day (like me), in school you might have a secret admirer or friends that have a lot of love for you and want to bring you happiness. The Gateway academy helps out with this through the event.
