A man has been fined in court for fishing bream from the River Thames.

Daniel Buse admitted to removing bream by rod and line from the River Thames in Kingston on July 3, 2021.

The 59-year-old contravened a provision of the Byelaw 3(i) of the Environment Agency National Byelaws which came into force on June 1, 2010 - according to the courts.

Buse, of Tidenham Gardens in Croydon, was found guilty of the offence during a single justice procedure hearing at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on February 1, 2022.

He was ordered to pay £316 in total - including a £147 fine, £34 to victim services and costs of £135.

He must pay this by March 1, 2022.
