Police are looking for a woman after a man’s watch was stolen from his wrist when he became distracted.

The distraction theft occurred in the Tesco Car Park in High Street, Epping, at 10.30am on Friday, January 24.

Essex Police says a man reported he was approached by a woman who distracted him and held his hand.

A short time later he discovered his watch was missing from his wrist.

The woman is described as 20s, slim build with long brown hair and glasses. She spoke only briefly, with what is described as an East European accent.

She was wearing a three-quarter length coat and scarf.

Police have been investigating and have now released an e-fit of a woman they want to speak to.
