Once again a rush hour accident in Loughton Lane, Theydon Bois.
Very fortunately nobody was injured but one car finished on the pavement just where at 8.30am there is usually a procession of schoolchildren.
I am a long-term resident in the road and over the years have seen the volume and speed of traffic increase substantially as many use it as a route to the M11.
There is a major school in the road and the pavement is less than two feet wide in places so the traffic is passing within inches of child pedestrians. I would say that this ‘lane’ is crying out for some kind of traffic calming. The kids may not be so lucky next time!
