People with memory issues and their carers are invited to attend the next 3MemoryCafe4U next week.

Epping Forest’s largest emergency foodbank 3Food4U set up the service for people with varying degrees of memory issues and those who love and look after them.

Its next meeting will take place from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, February 16 at St James’ Church Hall, Ongar CM5 9EL.

The sessions are activity-based with singing, word games, puzzles, bingo and more with free light refreshments.

No booking is required and further details are available by calling 01992 842642 / 07973 166940.

This Is Local London:

3Food4U was surprised but delighted and proud to hear a testimonial about its vital service last week on Heart Radio by one of its service users Gemma, who is a carer and single mum to a teenage daughter.

Rising food and energy costs have left her with no choice but to use one of the charity’s foodbanks.

Gemma said: “I’ve seen people with good cars and clothes, but I never judge them because I know some of them are nurses, single parents working families. Their service is invaluable to us.”

The charity has also thanked Veronica Riches from Ongar Ranger Unit and everyone who donated to their recent campaign for period products.

3Food4U always has a variety of free period products available and on display.

The charity’s community surplus hubs are open as follows:
