A home in Wimbledon has been issued with a partial closure order after an incident of cuckooing was reported to police.

The incident occurred at an address in Autumn Close, Wimbledon.

PC Mackenzie attended the Wimbledon Magistrates court on January 18 where the partial closure order was granted.

Officers have said the closure order will help keep the resident safe, as well as improving crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.

Cuckooing is when a home is taken over to either exploit the resident, for use in the drug trade or other illegal use.

It often relies on the resident being vulnerable, either through addiction, age, disability, and other factors.

If you suspect cuckooing, contact the police on 101.
