A Bromley man was given a hefty £826 fine after being caught riding an e-scooter in central London without insurance.
Edward Hoy, 47, of The Mall, was stopped by police on The Strand at around 4.15pm on June 24, 2021.
He was found to be riding without insurance, in breach of the Road Traffic Act.
Bromley Magistrates' Court found him guilty on January 25, 2022.
He was fined an initial £660 for the offences, plus a victim’s surcharge of £66 and costs of £100, while six points were placed on his driving licence.
The court gave him until February 22 to pay the fine.
