A person has been taken to hospital after a crash involving three vehicles in Dartford.

Emergency services attended the scene this morning (February 3) at around 7.25am to reports of a three-vehicle crash on the A282.

The person was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.

National Highways South East (@HighwaysSEAST) tweeted shortly after 7.45am that the closure of the lanes caused a four-mile congestion and delays up to 30 minutes.

All lanes have now reopened but delays may remain in the area with congestion from J4 while traffic eases, according to National Highways on Twitter.

We have asked South East Coast Ambulance Service for more information.

National Highways (@HighwaysSEAST) tweeted: “#M25/#A282 anti-clockwise/northbound between J1b and J1a.

“The outside lane is closed due to a collision and overturned vehicle.

“Four miles of congestion and delays of 30 minutes between J3 and the scene. Allow extra time this morning if heading towards.

“All 4 lanes are now open.

“Delays remains in the area with congestion from J4, but these will begin easing now all lanes are open again.”

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A282 in Dartford just before the tunnel at around 7.25am on Thursday 3 February 2022.

“Officers, South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

“One person was taken to hospital for treatment.”
