A man was fined more than £800 for attending a gathering in Bromley while the country was in strict lockdown.

Adrian Kurilla-Droj, 29, of Mottingham Road, “participated in a gathering” at a private address on Andace Park Gardens, where two or more people were in attendance “without reasonable excuse”, on January 23, 2021.

London was in Tier 4 at the time, which saw people only allowed to leave home for essential purposes, such as to buy food and medical supplies, or for daily exercise.

Mr Kurilla-Droj was found guilty at Westminster Magistrates' Court on January 19, 2022.

He was fined at initial £660 for the offence, an extra £66 to fund victim services and £100 for the costs of the Crown Prosecution Service.

Mr Kurilla-Droj was given until February 16 to pay the total amount of £826.
