In the National League South, Billericay Town made it five matches unbeaten on Saturday, as they battled to a 1-1 draw with Havant & Waterlooville at New Lodge.

Shaq Coulthirst scored his third goal in his last three matches to put the hosts ahead 21 minutes before time, however Tommy Wright’s equaliser nine minutes later ensured a share of the spoils.

Jody Brown’s side remain bottom of the National League South standings, level on points with Braintree Town.

Elsewhere, Concord Rangers slipped to 16th after suffering a 4-1 defeat away at Dulwich Hamlet.

Danny Green netted from the penalty spot in the 67th minute to reduce the hosts’ 2-0 lead, but a late brace by Ibra Sekajja furthered the home side’s lead, making for a comfortable finish.

Isthmian Premier action saw Bowers & Pitsea’s rotten run continue, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Merstham.

Bowers were a man down for the final 32 minutes, with Alex Bentley given his marching orders for his second yellow card.

And Merstham made their advantage count, with Serge Makofo putting his side 1-0 up just two minutes later.

Despite no further goals, both sides were still to see more action, as they both had a man sent off in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.

Ben Sartain and Huseyin Biler were both sent to the changing room early for an altercation between the two.

Rob Small’s side have now lost their last seven matches and have slipped into the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, East Thurrock United suffered a 4-1 defeat away at Bishop’s Stortford to further the threat of relegation.

Olly Miles was on target in what turned out to be a mere consolation for the Rocks, who remain second bottom.

In the Isthmian North, Canvey Island produced late drama to prolong their stay at the top of the table with 3-2 victory at home against Barking.

The visitors raced into a two goal lead and kept it until the 83rd minute, when the Gulls netted a trio of goals in quick succession to earn all three points at Park Lane.

Matthew Price converted from the spot to start the comeback, and Bradley Sach and Evans Kouassi also chipped in with a goal.

Brad Wellmen’s side are now two points clear of Aveley behind them, and could boost the gap by a further three points if victorious in their game in hand.

Hullbridge Sports  fell to defeat, with two late goals sinking them to a 2-1 loss away at Felixstowe & Walton United.

Tony Stokes’ 17th minute strike was eventually cancelled out by Samuel Nunn’s equaliser nine minutes before time.

Henry Barley scored a 90th minute winner for the hosts, keeping Hullbridge in the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Great Wakering Rovers drew 1-1 against Tilbury, while Basildon United earned a point following a 0-0 stalemate away at Witham Town.

To round up the weekend’s action, Hashtag United kept their play-off aspirations alive by earning a 1-0 victory away against Maldon & Tiptree on Friday night.

Sam Bantick scored the only goal of the game in the 15th minute to send the Tags up to seventh in the standings.
